ABOUT JOHN

John Accardo is a magician who knows how to truly connect. Known for his quick wit, natural charm, and highly interactive performances, John creates unforgettable experiences for audiences ranging from intimate private parties to sold-out theaters.

A Southern California native, John grew up in a household where the arts were part of daily life—his parents were both professional musicians who toured the world with Sammy Davis Jr. It was a birthday party magician that first sparked John’s fascination with magic, but it wasn’t until high school that it became a serious pursuit. As a teenager, he learned magic not just from books and DVDs, but directly from masters of the craft, including the legendary Japanese magician Shoot Ogawa.

At 15, John earned a coveted spot in the Academy of Magical Arts’ Junior Program at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. There, he began performing in the Castle’s iconic Close-Up Gallery—eventually becoming one of the youngest magicians ever invited to headline an evening show for adult audiences. That early stage time shaped his ability to not just perform magic, but to craft a full show that was responsive, polished, and highly engaging.

After graduating from UCLA, John took his magic around the globe. He has performed throughout the U.K., Europe, and Asia, and appeared on Nightline, ABC, and Comedy Central. His ability to command both large stages and small, up-close settings has made him a favorite among corporate clients, luxury events, and cruise lines, where he has performed for audiences of up to 1,100 people.

John’s magic is more than just tricks—it’s about presence, timing, and his uncanny ability to read the room. Whether he’s performing for a private gathering or onstage in front of thousands, audiences often say it feels like he’s truly with them, not just performing at them. That rare quality has made him a fixture at top venues like the Chicago Magic Lounge, the Magic Castle, and the critically acclaimed “Magic Bar” in Encino.

Most recently, John headlined Legerdemain, one of Las Vegas’ only true close-up magic shows, presented at the Venetian Hotel. In this intimate, 40-seat experience, John performed nightly for a year, bringing his signature blend of humor, wonder, and spontaneity to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

Whether on stage, across a table, or mingling through a crowd, John Accardo’s magic feels personal, powerful, and completely unforgettable.
